I'm sure I'll be in the minority on this one, but this song is just blah. This isn't a reaction to the hype or anything, I heard it a while ago before everyone started talking about it and even then it wasn't anything special to me.
Not saying they're not talented, or that they are a horrible band or anything like that, but man this song is bland to me. The video's even worse imo.
I think this song is SO full of REAL class and has such a Summery romantic feel to it. I love it's reasonable simplicity too. For me it's got that old class & laid back summer feel of such classy songs like Waterloo Sunset by the Kinks or something, though completely different too.
People keep saying this video is 'creepy' & whatever but i honestly just found it pretty funny/humourous. Every time Chris Bear and Dan's face, in particular, came onto screen it triggered a chuckle from me!
As much as i often like artists who chose to have their video's be kind of the opposite of what the song actually represents, I would have preffered the video to this to have matched how Summery and Romantic the song feels though.
Good video, wrong song for me though, probably.
