Passwords

Usually this is where I’d bore you with an obligatory biography of Passwords, but since there’s either no bio to be found on the trusty interwebs or my search methods aren’t sophisticated enough to locate it, you’ll have to settle for a simple mention and a half-assed attempt at genre categorization. I was able to surmise that Passwords is a Montreal-based band that just released a self-titled debut. Judging by the general lack of information and a cryptic album teaser, they also seem keen on maintaining some semblance of mystery. Musically, they combine elements of folk, psychedelia, progressive, and even post-rock, sometimes all in the course of one song (exhibit A: “Life After Summer”). Their self-titled LP is a sonically varied tapestry of influences weaved and stitched together with delicate ease. Ear worms for days. — Capt. Obvious

It is really difficult to read this blog now.

How so? Is the font too small?

      • human:

You can barely see the text in front of the background.

Hmm, that’s odd. The body text should have a grey backdrop that makes it easily readable. I’m mac-based and it looks fine in both safari and firefox. Not sure what the issue is, what browser are you using?

  • I can read it beautifully, dude. And I’m checking out shit for NXNE. The breakdown in “Life after Summer” reminds me of Orion from Metallica. Lots going on in this song….Any idea if the whole album matches up? I’m putting it on my radar for my schedule up there.
